to some it may mean guts, strength, desire. these words are inner, too. u know, like an energy that pushes or pulled us to accomplish our desires. like we say "burning desire" is, it is strength of character and will.
but what is an "inner fire", really? esoterically, it is energy. and this energy has consciousness. it is the same energy that we call the inner god, or the god within us; the same energy that we call "forces"; the same energy that the hindu teachings call in the mooladhara chakra (or psychic center) as the 'sleeping god', an energy that moves us, that makes us alive. it is symbolized by a coiled-like snake at the base of the spine, which is its seat. if it awakens it shoots up into the tube in the spine (but it is not physical tube). but beware, it is not good to play with this fire because it may mean one's death.
there are many stories about it in the scriptures, hindu scriptures or bible. many seekers of it made a mistake trying to awaken it, through techniques...but let me stop here.
Hey, when I first read this text I thought you were talking about how to have the power you need to overcome obstacles to achieve your goals, but it seems like you are talking about something else. Can you explain this kind of energy and inner fire you are talking about if you don't mine sharing??
To realize our ' burning desires' and overcome our frustrations, we need to constantly activate our subconscious mind which is the ' sleeping god ' within us.
yah, the subconscious mind has something to do with it. but it's easier said than done. for ordinary common minds the subconscious is active only during sleep in the form of dreams. unless of course one has some technique to activate it, but for me it's a dangerous thing to do if one is not prepared. the subconscious mind, aka the astral world, is so vast that one can be lost in it. it is an activity for the advance in all areas of evolution.. but this is a different matter of discussion...
